Keele Campus Vision & Strategy

A long-term vision to reimagine 190 acres of development lands into a vibrant, resilient and connected community with a mix of uses across four distinct neighbourhoods.

York University’s Living Well Together: The Keele Campus Vision & Strategy (CVS) establishes a vision for a 21st-century campus; one that extends beyond its academic core to serve as an anchor institution, community hub and catalyst for positive change. Four distinct neighbourhoods are envisioned—Northwest Gate, Innovation Gate, South Mall, and Creekside.

Building on the opportunities created by the Toronto-York Spadina subway extension, the strategy reimagines University lands as vibrant, connected neighbourhoods that advance York’s academic mission, strengthen campus life and create lasting social, environmental and economic value for the University and surrounding communities.

Over the next 30 years, YUDC will deliver this vision with purpose, creating opportunities that optimize land value, generate long-term revenue streams, and build connected communities.
